My journey to digital marketing started in a kitchen, not an office.
I spent years working in kitchens while studying for my BSc in Computer Systems at Heriot-Watt. Balancing both taught me resilience, consistency, and the importance of great service. But I also noticed something else: the businesses that really thrived weren’t just good at what they did — they had a strong digital presence. Those who didn’t invest online often struggled, no matter how good their food or service was.
That realisation inspired me to retrain. I’m now completing my MSc in Digital Marketing & E-Business at Abertay, combining my technical background with marketing skills. Through Troup Digital, I help local service-based businesses build their online presence, get found, and keep growing.
I believe in keeping things simple, clear, and effective — no jargon, no fluff.
I want to see local businesses succeed because I know how much time, energy, and heart goes into running one.

When I’m not working on client projects, you’ll usually find me out walking my dog Spike along the Angus coast, on the mats training in martial arts, or exploring new ways to stay active and healthy. I’m also a bit of a tech and design nerd, so I’m often experimenting with new tools, creative ideas, and ways to bring fresh solutions into my work at Troup Digital.
